Song Interlude
Verse 1
Here this praise from a grateful heart,
Each time I think of you, the praises start
Love you so much, Jesus
Love you so much

Verse 2
Lord I love you, my soul sings,
In your presence carried on your wings
Love you so much, Jesus
Love you so much

Verse 3
How my soul longs for you,
Longs to worship you forever;
In your power and majesty
Lift my hands, lift my heart,
Lift my voice towards the heavens
For you are my sun and shield

God has established each one of you, He has called you as saviours to save families and nations, communities that would not have existed have all been entrusted into your hands to transfer the mount of Esau into the Kingdom of God.

Many people would just run through the scriptures when they read because a lot of the things do not make meaning to our lives but it is important to study to know what they mean. If you do not know the value of a thing, you will be tempted to devalue it, but I want you to open your eyes to who you are in Christ and to know the power and ability that God has given you in these evil, perilous years. Since Genesis till now, we find ourselves living in evil times as Bible says “in the last days, iniquity shall abound”.

Evil that was hitherto covered, is now rampant, things that could not even be mentioned are now so accessible. The age of accountability is going lower and lower, children are getting more drowned in things that even adults cannot comprehend. We need to wake up.

Isaiah 60:1-2 tells us to

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

God is separating the church from the darkness that is upon this world. There is so much evil but God has set a distinction between us and the people of this world but we have a responsibility to arise as the light and the salt of the world. If you keep silent, God will raise other deliverers and there will not be any glory for you, but if you rise up and take your place now for what God has made you, and what He intends for you to do in the lives of your families and humanity, I believe that one day, when Christ shall come, He will shake your hands and tell you “well done thou good and faithful servant”.

There are many things you do that people do not remember, they don’t acknowledge or appreciate but God does; our King is coming with a reward for you and I as we take our positions in the Kingdom.

Before Zechariah 1:18-21 and 2:1-4, a lot had happened in the first seventeen verses: God was comforting His children and telling them that things will get better.

Zechariah 1:18-21

“Then I looked up–and there before me were four horns! I asked the angel who was speaking to me, “What are these?” He answered me, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, Israel and Jerusalem.” Then the LORD showed me four craftsmen. I asked, “What are these coming to do?” He answered, “These are the horns that scattered Judah so that no one could raise his head, but the craftsmen have come to terrify them and throw down these horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter its people.”

Zechariah 2:1-2

“Then I looked up–and there before me was a man with a measuring line in his hand! I asked, “Where are you going?” He answered me, “To measure Jerusalem, to find out how wide and how long it is.”

The enemy has released four horns against men, to scatter them from their families and to humble and bring them to nothing.

In a story I heard about the founder of Full Gospel Business Men’s Mission, he saw men with hands folded and with their heads bowed. He inquired of the Lord what was happening? God told him to go to church the following day only to find a lot of women with just a handful of men. He therefore screamed “where are the men?”. God then sent him to go fish out for the men and that’s how the mission begun.

God is still in the business of looking for the sons because they are so important. The hope in the above scripture is that “Then the LORD showed me four craftsmen” who are supposed to destroy what the horns have come to do. God has anointed us to destroy anything that scatters men. Men have so much value that the enemy wants to fight them so badly and make them feel less than what God has mandated him to be. Sometimes, some men don’t even know their value but let’s take a look at the value of men in a unique way and how the enemy is fighting them so we can all rise up and tell the devil “hands off” in the name of Jesus.

God said in Psalm 128 that:
“Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in his ways. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your sons will be like olive shoots around your table…

What are these four horns that fight men so hard and determined to scatter them and bring them lower? When the man is supposed to be the covering, provider and protection of the house, the devil is moving him away from his position but we say now to the evil one “No more!”. The men will henceforth take their rightful places as protection and providers rather that do us evil or abandon us for any reason.

The Four Horns…

  1. LUST

Lasciviousness and inordinate affection. Men feel that, the more they have a lot of women at their disposal, the more important they are. If all that there is in life is to have whatever we desire and die, then it is okay but there is heaven and there is hell which is why we cannot afford to live anyhow. Lust has become the biggest business in the world. The film industry pumps billions to illustrate how to have sex to satisfaction and how to swerve the wife and family for the girlfriend at work. We are exposed to how to even kill and get rid of the wife and family just to have another woman, all for sex. Men are also being introduced to pornography sites including sex with animals just to watch and get heated up, and in an event where the wife is not available, then it has to be someone else.

Often after getting introduced to pornography, men would want to force their wives to emulate what they saw other women do in the movies. The things we see in the movies are done by ‘women who are not women’ but possessed to do things that will entice men. The horns are to make these things seem like a usual character of men; but we change that slogan in Jesus name. Men are in the image of God; the first creation of God before the woman came. Man was ahead of everything that God created. How can a man go lower to sleeping with animals?

We cover our men with the blood of Jesus. No man will ever be a victim to any Jezebel. This is an assignment to go to all nations and tell them ‘no more’. Men represent something better than being identified with lust.

  1. GREED

In recent news, we learnt that, when the new Nigerian government came to power, they recovered a lot of stolen money from some previous ministers. Apparently, one man was able to return 75% of what he had stolen, but by the time the money hit the government coffers, someone else snatched it on arrival.

In another story in Britain, an amount of 5.6 million dollars was found in the box of a university student whose father was a minister.

These monies are supposed to provide for the poor and heal people in hospitals; monies that are supposed to educate the children and take them from the streets are all being stolen out of greed. People nowadays sacrifice their wives and children for money after which they are unable to even enjoy or abide in the houses they acquired because the souls and blood of the innocent are always crying after them. “What will a man give in exchange for his own soul?”. What is it about having so much that people will do anything to get?

The story is also told of a man who saw a vision into heaven and saw many women with many children but just few men. Let every woman determine never to make it to heaven without her husband. May every woman’s heart be turned back to their husbands and the hearts of the fathers to their children.

Malachi 4:5-6
“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

In any cursed place that you may find yourself, it is because the hearts of the fathers are separated from their children. They walk on the street doing all sorts of evil because they have no fathers: but “…if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14.

We are the craftsmen that God has called to make that intercession and serve as the bridge between the factions in the families. Also, in 1 Samuel 30, David and his 600 men were working and fighting for God and to save Israel, but upon their return, the Amalekites had come to steal their wives and children. God instructed him to go and overtake and recover all upon his enquiry. It does not matter where your families also are, God can give you the strength to recover them if only you can seek His face in prayer in the name of Jesus. God is really interested in families. Woman, do not give up on your husband who may be gone to be with another woman. In prayer, pursue, overtake, recover all.

Statistics reveal that 91% of all murders are committed by men and most of the victims are wives, girlfriends and strangers. The enemy’s intention is to destroy the man in such a way that he will have no might to stand before God. If you kill the precious wife God has given to you to protect, how would you be justified before God. The strategy of the devil is to move man so far away from God because the man’s confidence in his relationship with God will die the next minute he commits such acts. So, the man that was created to have God’s image will now run from God just as in the garden of Eden when Adam and Eve sinned. When God came, He called on the man alone and not the man and woman.

Equal worth does not mean equal function. For instance, a book and a pen may all be sold for Gh1.00 each but they perform different functions. No woman can do a man’s job, and it is not because she really cannot do it but it is simply not her place to take over. We are all in the image of God but function differently. The man is the head and when he fails to perform his duties, then he has moved himself away for the woman to occupy. She also will certainly not be able to do it the way a man can because she is not anointed for such a position. The woman is a helper, called to help the man achieve greatness. The world faces grave challenges because many of the helpers have been killed, some beaten up and abandoned. Some men even pride themselves over domestic violence as a way to ‘put the woman in her place’.

Violence at home has now become the biggest deal; but ‘no more’!

When someone is put in prison, his destiny has been aborted especially if the person is going to be in there for so long. Sometimes, even after their jail term, no one wants to employ them or have any relationship with a prisoner. Most people in jail are finished; most are husbands, fathers, sons. Over 90% of prisoners are men. The devil is after the men, so instead of sitting and judging them, let us rather raise our voices at the devil and say “enough is enough”.

In certain areas, no man can walk in the night because all the boys in the neighbourhood are dangerous to humanity. Some are in occult fishing for blood to gain promotion and association with the fraternity. No more!

God is up to restoring men to their positions as priests, prophets and people before God. Men who will wake their families up early in the morning to pray, share and protect the children before they go out. Never again will the devil have us go after lust, greed, kill people or get imprisoned for crimes.

God has made us craftsmen and women with the ability to turn things around and back to the kingdom of God. God is bringing us to a time when the man closes from work and is happy to go home while the woman is willing and ready to meet the husband.

Let us rise up and pray to change the story so none of these four horns is identified with any one of us. No woman would run to the pastor because the husband is sleeping with another woman somewhere. We are the light and the salt expected to lead men to God. According to statistics, if a man is the first to be saved in the house, he has 85% of the rest of the family following him to church, but if the woman is the first, there is only 29% chance, and that is why there are so many women but just a few men in church. We need to rise to change this for “the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”

We thank God for the power He has given us over the powers of the evil one that nothing can harm us. Always focus on these three things that will constantly keep your man and marriage intact: love him, forgive him and pray for him.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, break any horn that is up against you.
